Pastor Demetrius Alexander Chester is a native of Saint Paul, Minnesota. He matriculated at St. Cloud State University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies and a Master of Arts degree in Human Services Counseling with a special concentration in Executive Leadership from Liberty University. He accepted Christ at the age of 11 under the pastorate of Pastor Carl Walker at the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and later acknowledged his call to the gospel ministry.  He works diligently in several positions in the local, district, jurisdictional, and national church. He also serves in a variety of civic capacities including board member of Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, board member of Damascus Way Reentry Center, and advisory board member of the Communication Studies Department at St. Cloud State University. 

Pastor Chester’s astute business acumen and faithfulness have propelled him to the forefront of both the business and religious community. Currently he is employed with the Target Corporation as a Senior Manager of New Accounts and Strategy Implementation. He serves as Administrative Assistant and Episcopal Adjutant to Bishop Fred Willis Washington. In August of 2021 he was appointed as Senior Pastor of the New Covenant Church after serving for 8 years as Youth Pastor. He is married to the former Nyre Russell and together they are the parents of one daughter Aubrey and reside in the city of Golden Valley.

Lady Nyre Nechelle Chester is a native of Minneapolis, Minnesota. She matriculated at St. Cloud State University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Rhetoric and Performance Studies. She was saved at a young age and remained active in the church. Lady Chester has a heart for reaching and helping young women experience the love of God. She serves as the leader of the Young Women’s Christian Council and assist in the Media Ministry.

Lady Chester’s secular career experience include nearly 10 years of front and back-office roles within the healthcare industry. She is employed with UCare as a Project Manager in their Provider Services area. She also serves on the Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Commission for the City of Golden Valley. Her kindness and gentle spirit is radiant and ministers to the hearts of people wherever she goes.
